The Story Behind De Finse Winkel
Since 1984, De Finse Winkel has been a well-known destination in the artists' village of Bergen. The shop is renowned for its colourful Scandinavian atmosphere, exclusive women's fashion, and carefully selected products made from natural materials. Generations of customers have found their way to the store in search of quality, warmth, and unique items that are not found everywhere.
In February 2025, Marie Mors took over the business. Following an extensive renovation, De Finse Winkel reopened its doors in May 2025. The trusted Scandinavian character has been preserved, while introducing a fresh and contemporary new look.
Marie, 38, was born and raised in Bergen (North Holland) and has a background as a goldsmith. Her love for craftsmanship, natural materials, colour, and quality perfectly complements the concept of De Finse Winkel. This passion is reflected in the carefully curated selection of clothing, jewellery, home accessories, and handcrafted products.
The shop consciously works with small collections and brands that prioritize quality and sustainability. From soft wool and linen to distinctive Finnish designs and timeless Scandinavian fashion, every item in the store is selected with great care.
